RSA YOUng evolved from RSA Board members desire to support young members; future RSA leaders, in making a difference to people with kidney disease. 

RSA YOUng’s mission is to evaluate and understand the needs of young nephrology healthcare professionals throughout Australia and New Zealand.  This in turn drives RSA policy in relation to future education, research, professional development, and leadership opportunities within the RSA for this specific member group.

RSA YOUng consists of RSA members who were born in 1980 or after and are willing to represent their geographical area.  The group:

  • Advises the RSA Board from the perspective of young nephrology healthcare professionals; 
  • Provides input to RSA committees (Education, Membership, Executive, Research, Finance etc) 
  • Develops activities designed to engage early career nephrology healthcare professionals;
  • Attracts new young nephrology healthcare professionals to the society; and
  • Meets virtually 4 times per year.
