Nephrology Nurse Practitioners Special Interest Group

While attending the 2019 RSA Annual Conference a subset of members who are Nurse Practitioners or studying to become one, met and decided it would be beneficial to establish a Special Interest Group for those who are or in the process of becoming Nephrology Nurse Practitioners.

The goal of this group would be to:

  • Share information with its members;
  • Support new clinicians within this specialty;
  • Provide education to all members of the RSA; and
  • Review data that is being collected and instruments used and also to aim for publication of combined results.

We are currently promoting the use of discussion forums as well as collaborating via three (3) yearly phone meetings. The phone meeting agenda covers:

  • Feedback from RSA;
  • Clinical Questions/Updates;
  • General Discussion; and
  • Future planning
