Kidney Supportive Care Special Interest Group

Following the 2019 Renal Society of Australasia Conference in Auckland, New Zealand a subset of members who had a special interest in supportive care, met and decided it would be beneficial to establish a Special Interest Group for those who are passionate in providing and evaluating Supportive Care for those people with Advanced Kidney Disease.

The goal of this group is to:

• Share information with its members;
• Support new clinicians within this specialty;
• Provide education to all members of the RSA; and
• Review data that is being collected and instruments used and also to aim for publication of combined results

We are currently promoting the use of discussion forums as well as collaborating via three (3) yearly phone meetings. The phone meeting agenda covers:

• Feedback from RSA;
• Clinical Questions/Updates;
• General Discussion; and
• Future planning
