"As you have noticed, our patients are now older and sicker, with needs that seem to be increasing with every passing year. So many more patients would rather choose not to have dialysis, especially if there is a supportive care pathway available. Launceston is emerging as a nationally recognised hub of a renal supportive care model that is driven by the renal team itself. In this year’s meeting, we will focus on the 'care' for the renal patient just as much as the 'cure' " Dr Rajesh Raj.
