The two presentations will identify and address some of the more challenging aspects of care in the renal population. We will hear about the current advances that have assisted in providing best practice for the renal patient and future directions encompassing renal access through to transplantation. As well, you will have the opportunity to have your questions about vascular access answered by an expert. Then our next speaker will present about the complexities of heart failure and renal impairment and management.

Dr David Evans is a Vascular Surgeon based at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. His training and work included time in Far North Queensland Renal Access Units and time in Sydney hospitals with a focus on endovascular techniques for fistula preservation and renal transplantation.
Dr Chris Anthony is a Cardiologist and PhD fellow he is an Honorary research fellow at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and a Research fellow at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. He is a National Heart Foundation Scholar and the recipient of the St Vincent’s Hospital Tancred research grant.
