The ANZDATA Advisory Committee is seeking a member of the RSA to serve as the our representative on the Advisory Committee.

The Advisory Committee provides advice for the Registry on behalf of the contributing Renal Units, the membership of the Renal Society of Australasia (RSA), Australia and New Zealand Society of Nephrology (ANZSN) and those health care professionals contributing data to the Registry.

The primary responsibility of the Advisory Committee is to provide strategic direction and advice to achieve the mission and vision of ANZDATA.

The Advisory Committee discusses and advises regarding:

• Data collection, including frequency, quantity, quality and type of data collected as well as methods of collection
• Dissemination of information from the Registry in the form of reports and publications
• Release of data from the Registry to contributors, government, industry and others seeking access to the database
• Function and membership of the various working groups.

The Committee meet four times a year, held on a quarterly basis over a 12-month period, via video/teleconference and one meeting in person every second year, in the August of that year.  Nominated representatives are expected to serve for 3 years, with an option to be extended to a second term (total 6 years).   The next meeting will be held at the end of May 2025.  Selection of nominee will be based on standing in the renal community, skill set, productivity, ability to work with others and diversity (noting one of the aims of the Committee is to provide a broad range or perspectives).

The successful applicant will be required to provide a written report to the RSA Board of Directors providing an overview of the outcomes of the ANZDATA Advisory Committee after each meeting.  All interested persons are invited to submit an expression of interest (EOI) with a brief one page covering letter outlining the basis of your interest, relevant skills, and contribution to the nephrological community, with a copy of a current CV to Daniela Ciccarello, RSA Manager Membership & Governance daniela@renalsociety.org by 15 May at 4pm.
