Wednesday 03, Aug 2022

Wednesday 3rd August 2022 – The Renal Society of Australasia (RSA) has appointed Savio D'sa as its Chief Executive Officer: this move will see D’sa implement and deliver the RSA Board’s strategic plan moving forward as the society’s first CEO.

Celebrating its 50th year in 2022, the RSA is ushering in a fresh and new vision with this inaugural appointment, marking the society’s continued commitment to consolidate the next 50 years as the peak body for renal healthcare professionals.

“We are absolutely delighted with this new appointment. Savio commenced with the RSA in September 2021 - his innovative approach and dynamism make him absolutely the right person for the job and to lead us into the next phase of RSA’s growth,” said Jon Hosking, President of the Renal Society of Australasia. “On behalf of the RSA Board and all our members, I welcome Savio as he takes on this role as our first Chief Executive Officer.”

With more than 2,000 members across Australia and New Zealand, the RSA aims to advance the care of people with kidney disease, as well as provide professional development for renal nurses and related allied health professionals. The RSA supports practice development, research, quality improvement and innovation and sets the standard for nurses and health professionals caring for people with kidney disease.

“I am excited to take on this new role as Chief Executive Officer, working with the Board to deliver on the RSA’s vision. I look forward to further collaboration with our members, stakeholders and government bodies to advance the care of people with kidney disease,” comments D’sa.
