RSAJ - Printed Version Available for Purchase

Earlier this year the RSAJ transitioned to an online platform.   This transition was in response to environmental concerns regarding our carbon footprint, the need to manage escalating costs of printing and mailing the RSAJ and to be consistent with the global movement towards online access to academic and clinical resources.

However, we acknowledge that there are RSA Members who would prefer to read a printed version of the RSAJ.    With this in mind, the RSA are pleased to advise all RSA Members that they can now purchase printed copies of the RSAJ via the RSA website.     The cost to purchase a printed copy will be $18 (including GST) per copy.

A couple of important notes:

  • Orders/purchases for previous issues dated March 2019 and July 2019 will close on Monday, 30th September, with shipping to occur in October.
  • Advance orders/purchases of the November 2019 issue are currently being taken, with shipping shortly after publication.

Partnership with the WCEA  – World Class CPD At Your Fingertips

The Renal Society of Australasia (RSA) has partnered with the World Continuing Education Alliance (WCEA), a global provider of specialist Continuing Education platforms. Together we are providing online continuing education opportunities to nursing members. The education portal ensures that an up-to-date and accessible resource of continuing education is available to nursing professionals. It is free to RSA members.

Latest Uploads include:

  • The journal club - September - "KHA-CARI guidelines: infection control for haemodialysis units - a summary review"

Use of WCEA to deliver workplace education is growing in popularity and can provide high quality up to date information to educate new renal staff and to enhance the skills of experienced renal nurses. RSA membership is necessary to access packages for free but cheap monthly subscriptions are also available for non-RSA members.

To date over 650 members have completed over 1100 RSA packages (choosing from 70 different packages). The interactive online packages are the most popular, but our new webinars and journal club are also accessed regularly.  200 RSA members have completed some of the other 2000 packages hosted by WCEA .
